Fibertech Qatar was officially established in Doha, Qatar in 2008.
Initially, our primary focus centered around fiber optic cabling and structured cabling services. However, as the landscape of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) evolved, so did our scope.
Approved Contractor for Ooredoo
We achieved the status of an approved contractor for Ooredoo, allowing us to undertake underground telecom civil works. This recognition underscores our capability to handle critical infrastructure projects related to telecommunications in Qatar.
Expansion with QNBN Approval
In 2021, we reached another significant milestone by becoming an approved contractor for QNBN. This authorization empowers us to execute QNBN’s underground telecom civil works and manage fiber optic installations. Our expertise in these areas contributes to the development and enhancement of Qatar’s communication infrastructure.
Diversification into ELV Works for FIFA World Cup
With the FIFA World Cup driving increased technical demands in Qatar, we strategically expanded our expertise to include Extra Low Voltage (ELV) works. These include:
- BMS (Building Management Systems)
- SMATV (Satellite Master Antenna Television)
- PAVA (Public Address and Voice Alarm)
- PAGA (Public Address and General Alarm)
- Security Systems (CCTV, ACS, etc.)
Trading Activities
In addition to our core activities, we actively engage in trading activities related to tele-datacom services. Our robust connections with both local and international suppliers and manufacturers enable us to offer competitive prices and ensure efficient delivery periods to our valued clients.
Our History
2008
In 2008, Fibertech Qatar embarked on its journey by introducing and marketing our services to clients in Qatar. These initial efforts bore fruit, resulting in the acquisition of several small and medium-sized projects. As we gradually made our presence known in the market, we laid the foundation for our future growth and success.
2009
In 2009, we became an integral part of one of Qatar’s prestigious and mega projects: Hamad International Airport. Collaborating with legendary companies and joint ventures such as Sky Oryx JV, TAV TEPE TEKFEN, MHT, Crisplant, Bond Communication, Six Construct Midmac JV, and Johnson Controls, we contributed significantly to the airport’s development. Our focus during this period was on ICT infrastructure works, including the integration of fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
Throughout the years, we maintained our position as a trusted partner for Ooredoo, undertaking critical telecom infrastructure civil engineering works across Qatar.
2016
In 2016, we were awarded telecom civil infrastructure and Fiber Optic cabling projects in collaboration with MHT, Salam Technology, and other stakeholders. These initiatives aimed to enhance the facilities at Hamad Port.
2017
In 2017, we participated in a tender and secured a project to upgrade the network infrastructure of the Primary Health Care Corporation. Our team carried out cabling works at various health centers across Qatar. Additionally, we partnered with Al Balagh Oman Fiber for telecom infrastructure civil works for QNBN.
During the same period, we played a pivotal role in the development of Qatar’s Metro network under Q-Rail, collaborating with MHT and Thales until 2019.
2020
In 2020, we collaborated with Sirti Mena to support Vodafone’s telecom initiatives.
2021
The year 2021 marked the expansion of Hamad International Airport, and we were among the preferred contractors working with Mannai ICT, CCC, and Midmac.
2022
In 2022, our strategic partnerships with CDC, IDC, and Smart
Communication significantly bolstered our presence in the industry. During this period, we focused on ELV (Extra Low Voltage) integration for the Doha Air Base. Our expertise ensured seamless communication infrastructure and technological support for this critical facility.
